FitClan ("we", "us", "our") is an independent mobile application and website operated by Nishant Mittal. FitClan is a free family fitness tracking and gamification app available on Android via the Google Play Store.

By using FitClan, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app and website.
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the FitClan service. Here is a complete breakdown:

All data we collect is used exclusively to provide and improve the FitClan service. Specifically:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties — ever.
FitClan requests access to Android Health Connect to read fitness data including steps, calories, distance, and active minutes. This is the core function of the app.
Health Connect data is read solely to calculate your FitClan point score and populate your personal dashboard and family leaderboard. We do not write data back to Health Connect.
You can revoke FitClan's access to Health Connect at any time through Android Settings → Health Connect → App permissions → FitClan. Revoking access will prevent new fitness data from syncing but will not delete previously synced data from your FitClan account (you can do that via account deletion).
FitClan is designed for use by families, which may include children under the age of 13. We take children's privacy seriously.
FitClan requires users to be at least 13 years old to create their own account. Children under 13 may use FitClan only as part of a family group where a parent or legal guardian has created the family account and manages membership.
By adding a child under 13 to a FitClan family group, the parent or guardian represents that they have consented to the collection and use of the child's fitness data as described in this policy, solely for the purpose of participating in the family leaderboard.
For child members of a family group (under 13), we collect only:

Parents and guardians may at any time: review their child's data, request deletion of their child's data, or remove their child from the family group. Contact us at privacy@fitclan.ca to exercise these rights.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., court order, government request). We will notify you of such disclosures where legally permitted.
If FitClan is acquired, merged, or transfers its assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the app before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We retain your data for as long as your FitFam account is active. Specifically:
You can delete your FitClan account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing privacy@fitclan.ca. Upon deletion, all personal data including your account details, fitness history, and family group memberships will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Note: if you are the owner of a family group, deleting your account will also delete the family group and remove all members. We recommend transferring ownership before deleting your account.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you discover a security vulnerability, please responsibly disclose it to security@fitclan.ca.
